Frequently asked questions

Is my resume uploaded or stored?

No. The file is read by your own browser and the check runs there. Your resume is never sent to our servers. It stays in this browser tab, so you can check other jobs, until you close the tab or press Forget it.

How is the match worked out?

We find the skills, tools and qualifications the posting names, such as Python, Kubernetes, GAAP or a degree, and note where each appears: under its requirements, under nice to have, or elsewhere. Then we look for each one in your resume, including common spellings like k8s for Kubernetes. Skills the posting asks for count most.

Does a high score mean I will get an interview?

No. It shows how many of the posting's keywords your resume contains, which helps with keyword filters. People still read resumes, and experience, results and the visa situation matter more.

Should I add every missing keyword?

Only the ones you really have. Name each where you used it, in the posting's own spelling. Adding skills you do not have can cost you the interview.

Which files can I use?

PDF, Word (.docx) or plain text, up to 10 MB. Scanned PDFs have no text to read: paste your resume instead.
